At a fundraising event organised by the Leicester Quakers on behalf of the Zimbabwe Association Choir – Angela Walker, Pelagia Hungwe, Musarurwa Kanyoka, Lilian Chirombe, Lameck Mbano and Mary Chabvamuperu talked about the challenges asylum seekers face and about why music and community support groups are important to asylum seekers.

This was followed by a rendition of “Shosholoza”, “We Are Here”, “Ndomudana” and “Ishe Komborera Africa” by members of the Zimbabwe Association Choir and the Zimbabwe Action in Solidarity (ZAS) Leicester Drop-in Centre:
